Visit the Security and Privacy menu in System Preferences. The DisplayLink driver may need to be approved to operate by clicking allow. Additionally, you may need to allow Screen Recording permissions.
This may appear as an exclamation point over the DisplayLink logo on the menu bar reading:
"App needs it to ensure your equipment works properly. To do that please go to System Preferences, then click on the Privacy tab. Scroll down to Screen Recording position and check 'DisplayLink Manager'."
